Hello, Bonjour...Welcome...Bievenue...

With any luck, this will be the Home Page of my new and updated website...

As a personal testament to my early days of covid, I've decided to keep/publish this brief introductory video for my new viewership to see...As with everything in the spring of 2020, much of what had been normal about the state and direction of our current lives, was slowly being challenged, at risk of losing focus and becoming less clear...This home page was supposed to be a welcome post I had written to the Canadian grandfathers I hoped would be part of part of a new peer group I could get to know...So let's see how that works out..."Lights/Camera/Action"... Hey Grandfathers:  A brief welcome to Chez Pa

Hi...My name is Mark and I'm a 61-year-old Canadian grandfather from Montreal...

Thanks for stopping by...

If Google sent you here because you're a grandfather too, well then, wasn't that smart of them... Welcome!

And if you are also a Canadian grandfather, well then wow...Bonus points for Google!!!  Part of me is already feeling accomplished and excited....

Now let's say you're here as a 35-year-old newlywed who was just wandering around and randomly browsing the internet...or thinking about another grandfather that you already know or might yourself, one day want to become, well, then: no problem, because there's a welcome here to Chez Pa for you too...

My primary hope is that all visitors to Chez Pa will find this website to be an interesting, fun, and worthwhile place to be, to spend quality reflection time thinking/reading about or even connecting with other men who are actively living their senior years as grandfathers...

I fully expect that Chez Pa will provide its guests a safe and supportive online environment wherein the personal experience of being a grandfather can be comfortably described and supportively engaged...

At its core, Chez Pa will be my own personal blog space from where I can reflect upon/describe the joys and challenges associated with my experience of being a grandfather...

A secondary ambition I have is that Chez Pa also becomes a dynamic internet location from where I can successfully reach out and connect with other Canadian grandfathers who have somehow indicated to me their interest in contributing to the greater good by sharing their joys and challenges too...

I also thought that, in these times of Covid, it might be neat to scope out potential stops on a virtual tour of Canada and visit with representative grandfathers from each of the provinces and territories of our country...

Thirteen grandfathers sharing personal stories, thoughts, or experiences of being a Canadian grandfather...Imagine...

A tertiary goal that I also have for my website, is that it can serve as an affiliate resource location from where products or services of potential interest to grandfathers can be identified and purchased and from which I can receive financial compensation...

I hope that you'll find the information contained herein to be of interest and sufficient inspiration that you'll share word of our internet presence with members of your own personal network...

Why have I created this website?...

First, if you're like me, you may still be shaking your head in disbelief that becoming a grandfather happened and at how quickly you got there...Becoming a grandfather does indeed compel an appreciation for the passing of time...I'm sure that the experience of being a grandfather has already impacted you in countless and often surprising ways...

The tasks assumed by people who attempt to provide a written reflection on their experience of being a grandfather will avail of its authors and their readership an opportunity for insight, inspiration and honesty while considering/identifying the multi-faceted interconnectivity of inter-generational family life...

The people who've come to Chez Pa are likely those who expect/want to read and contribute to the recounting of the personal experience of grandfathering...

The Goal of My Site

As an online resource, the evolving mission of Chez Pa will be to continue to provide its members with information on issues/themes relevant to the interests and lifestyle of grandfathers and with a curated forum for constructive communication among its members,

If you ever need a hand or have any questions or comments, feel free to leave them in the comments box and I'll be more than happy to get back in touch, asap and help you out...

Please stay tuned and pass on the word of the internet presence of Chez Pa and its intention to host an interesting/original/virtual Canadian tour sometime in 2021...Stay in touch...

Pa
